Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an account and use Steadlet (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.
What the service is
Steadlet helps landlords with homes on long-term rent keep their tenancies in order: tenant requests, contract terms and deadlines, documents, and a record of rent and costs per home.
It is not accounting or bookkeeping software, it does not file taxes, and it does not give legal advice. It does not collect, hold or move money: payments are recorded by you, never collected by us. It is not a general messaging tool.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what managers you invite do.
- The account holder controls the plan and can close the account. Invited managers cannot change the plan or close the account.
Your data and your tenants
- You are responsible for having a lawful reason to record the details of your tenants and other people, and for the accuracy of what you enter. See the privacy notice for the split of roles.
- Contract deadlines and similar figures are calculated from the terms you enter. Check them against your contract: we are not responsible for a decision you make from a wrong or incomplete entry.
- You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us the right to store and process it to run the service for you.
- You can export your records as a CSV file at any time.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan covers one home. Paid plans cover more homes and are priced per month, excluding VAT, as shown on the home page.
- Tenants, managers and contractors are not charged.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before the change applies to you. The prices shown during the launch period are provisional.
- You can move to a smaller plan once the number of active homes fits within it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, to upload content you have no right to share, to attack or overload the service, or to try to reach another account’s data.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. We may change or remove features. If we make a change that hurts you materially we will tell you in advance.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable. After closure we delete or anonymise the data as described in the privacy notice. Export what you need before closing.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, our total liability to you for a claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost profit or lost rent.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
